In an unpredictable world, knowing how to prepare for emergencies can make all the difference. The Emergency Readiness Program from The Extra Mile Ministries is designed specifically for low-income families and newcomers to Canada. We provide free tools, workshops, and resources to help you feel confident, prepared, and supported during any type of emergency.
This initiative builds on our recently completed program for seniors – funded by the Ontario Ministry of Seniors & Accessibility – by expanding our reach to families and individuals facing similar challenges.
Through hands-on workshops, practical guidance, and easy-to-use resources, participants will gain the skills they need to stay safe, organized, and resilient.
Newcomers and low-income households often face extra barriers during emergencies – from language and transportation issues to limited finances. Our program is here to reduce those barriers so you can be ready, no matter what.
